The South Hadley Tiger Marching Hundred came into being
in the late 1960's under the direction of Dr. Roger
Farnsworth and his Assistant Director Frank Fuller.
The band hovered around the one hundred member mark
for a couple of years, and gradually grew into 226 members
in 1974.
Members traveled world wide to perform at many presitigious
venues and events including, but not limited to:
Richard Nixon's Inaugural Parade
The Indianapolis 500
Disneyland
Parade of Champions Philadelphia, PA
Tournament of Roses California
Tiajuana, Mexico
Festival of Kerry, Ireland
Members also had the unique opportunity to visit many internationally known sites including, but not limited to:
Washington, D.C.
Stonehenge
The band was rated in the top twenty nationwide and was recognized by the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
